2012 UFO Challenge

I have decided to officially follow Judy Laquidara's UFO(WIP) Challenge... for better or worse I will give a good try :0)

The first group of 12 are either my Works In Progress projects or not even started collections of  fabrics...
The second group of 12 are my current hand-work projects..

Every month when Judy L. draws a number for her UFO Challenge, I hope to complete both #’s that match her drawing. Or at least that’s my plan...   I’ll try to update this list every month as I mark off a completion.

So here's my update so far: It's October 22, 2012
WIPs: Nope, none... lol
I've looked at a lot of it though...

Hand Work:
#2-I just gave Mom the yarn for her own scarf. It was too odd shaped to keep even stitches by crochet
#3-I just traced the pattern to freezer paper and cut out the wool. It's sitting on the couch waiting.
#4-Finished! ummm. like mid year?
#5-Finished! right before the pumpkin.
#6...I have no idea what this is referring to..lol
#7-working on these now, however, they are not for me to give away, but donations to the Guild's fundraiser
#8-Started working on this after wool. Still in progress, but on back burner
#10-moved to a spot by couch for easiness to grab...
#11-Not completing-decided this wasn't something I wanted in my house, so I gave it all to my mom.
#12-Some here and there. My printer is doing something funny with the ink for them, so I haven't done any in a while...

Now, what I have done?
A wool bag thing for mom's birthday.

Wool bookmark for my sister-pic later.

Burp Cothes for a distant cousin's baby shower.
Other needle cases I made for the Guild fundraiser... like 20? Very easy. Its a paint chip from Walmart that I cut in half, folded and stapled a piece of cotton batting to the inside like a matchbook case. The brads were more work, so I just used a stapler instead..

UPDATE 1/18/13
So WIPs:
#11:I made one Halloween block. The only reason I did was as an example of measurements for something else! ha!
#12: I tried several times through out the year to do something with the turnovers. All the patterns I found online...suck. I thought I'd be able to do something fun with them, besides just make squares with other triangles...but nope..

Hand work:
#2: I gave all the yarn to mom and SHE has since made her own scarf and a shawl out of the yarn. She Knitted it. I just kept loosing the stitches crocheting it... go figure.
#3 I got farther with the heart case, but with all the hand stitching work I did for presents for Christmas, I'm just burnt out on hand work to finish it...
#10: Making small progress on this. Now has it's spot on the couch for me to grab. I just kept looking at it and it started calling to me. It's been cold for me to want to take my hands from under the blanket when I'm on the couch, but I'm getting there. I got two rowes done last weekend while waiting on hubby at Reserves drill weekend. Plus with Jason home for almost two weeks, we did a lot of work on the house, which means not sitting down to eat until later than normal, so no down time in front of tv...oopps...tmi!
